Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides comprehensive patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge planning and care coordination.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient needs.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, and supervises ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
Must demonstrate ongoing professional development, quality improvement knowledge, and adhere to privacy regulations.
