Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and evaluating patient responses.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates with the team to create care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Must demonstrate ongoing education, quality improvement knowledge, and adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
