Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department works night shifts, providing compassionate patient care and supporting families and colleagues.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, assessing patient needs, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans, directs ancillary staff, and maintains nursing standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role emphasizes maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and adhering to regulatory standards.
