Job Description
This Night shift RN role in a Medical/Surgical Hospitalist unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout hospitalization, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; hourly rate ranges from $34.65 to $35.69.
