Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neuro Progressive Care unit provides compassionate patient and family support through kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Interprets diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
Uses sound nursing judgment for patient management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Administers prescribed medications, including over-the-counter options.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care.
Guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.
The role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations.
