Job Description

The clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) works night shifts to provide compassionate patient care, fostering a caring environment through kindness and active listening.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care following policies and regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs, responses to care, and applies sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Administers medications as ordered and collaborates with the team to create individualized care plans.
  • Guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.
    The role involves handling sensitive information securely, adhering to privacy regulations.
