Job Description
This Night shift Registered Nurse role in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing both primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and execute patient care plans, directs ancillary staff, and ensures compassionate, competent care.
Requirements include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and previous nursing experience preferred.
The 29-bed unit serves adult patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses, requiring telemetry monitoring post-procedures.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and continuing education are encouraged.
Compensation ranges from $76,396.32 to $126,730.61 annually, with an hourly rate of $34.65 – $35.69.
