Job Description
This RN position in the Medical/Surgical Cardiac Hospitalist unit involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Provides direct and coordinated care, implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents appropriately.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and directs ancillary staff to maintain nursing standards.
Requirements include a nursing diploma, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred prior nursing experience.
The unit has 29 beds serving diverse cardiac patients, from young adults to geriatrics, requiring telemetry monitoring.
The role involves ensuring patient safety, quality care, and confidentiality of sensitive health information.
