Job Description
This RN role in Hematology/Oncology involves assessing, planning, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing emergency and primary care.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and follow personalized care plans and guides ancillary staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Strong knowledge of quality improvement principles and ongoing education are essential.
The role requires adherence to privacy standards and regulations regarding sensitive health information.
