Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room unit.
Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, catheterization.
Assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care, focusing on recovery and discharge readiness.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and interpret diagnostic tests.
Evaluate patient needs, apply sound nursing judgment, and collaborate on care plans.
Supervise ancillary staff and ensure professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, and certifications like BLS/ACLS/PALS. The role requires adherence to privacy regulations and continuous education.
