Job Description
This RN position in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery department involves assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, ensuring smooth transitions and progress toward discharge.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS certification, and preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
Must adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards, ensuring sensitive information is protected and accessed only on a need-to-know basis.
