Job Description

The Clinical Nurse contributes to a compassionate environment by providing patient-centered care through kindness and active listening.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment for management decisions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
  • Requires graduation from a recognized nursing program, a current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Possesses strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality concepts.
