Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Vascular Surgery (Night shift) assesses, plans, and manages patient care, focusing on discharge and care transitions.
Provides coordinated, compassionate care to patients in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, applies sound nursing judgment, and collaborates with the team to develop care plans.
Directs ancillary staff while maintaining professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferred experience as nursing assistant.
Knowledge of quality improvement and regulatory requirements is essential.
This role involves caring for patients with complex conditions like amputations and vascular wounds, with ongoing education provided.
