Job Description
This RN role in Vascular Surgery involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care during hospitalization, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge readiness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and execute patient care plans, guides ancillary staff, and maintains professional standards.
Minimum qualifications: current NYS RN license, 1-3 years acute care experience, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
The unit focuses on patients with vascular disease, often with multiple co-morbidities, ranging from 18 to 90+ years old, undergoing procedures like carotid endarterectomy and aneurysm repairs.
