Job Description
This RN position in Vascular Surgery involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Responsible for coordinating care, implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting accordingly.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests, evaluates patient responses, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills.
The role is located in a specialized vascular unit serving adult patients with complex conditions, including vascular diseases and post-surgical care.
