Job Description
This RN position in Vascular Surgery involves assessing, planning, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing primary/emergency care.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and follow patient care plans, directing ancillary staff, and ensuring compassionate, competent care in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, and strong communication and organizational skills.
The role involves working in a specialized vascular unit with patients aged 18-90+, often with complex co-morbidities, requiring adherence to confidentiality and privacy policies.
