Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves night shifts with a salary range of $72,072-$74,229.26 and an hourly rate of $34.65-$35.69.
Care for patients post-colorectal and urologic surgery in a 22-bed unit.
Assist with procedures such as chest tubes, central lines, wound vacs, NG tubes, catheters.
Assess, plan, coordinate, and implement patient care, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, interpret diagnostic tests, and evaluate patient responses.
Collaborate with the team to develop care plans and guide ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, and certifications like BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
Continuing education to improve performance is encouraged.
This role requires handling sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
