Job Description
This RN position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a night shift role with a salary range of $34.65 – $35.69 per hour.
Responsibilities include assisting with procedures (chest tubes, central lines, wound vacs, NG, catheters), implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and tests.
The nurse assesses patient needs, interprets diagnostic tests, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff to ensure quality, compassionate care.
Minimum qualifications: nursing diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
The role emphasizes patient safety, compliance with regulations, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
