This RN position is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, caring for post-surgical patients in a night shift role with a salary range of $72,072.00 – $74,229.26.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing procedures (e.g., chest tube insertion, wound vac changes), interpreting diagnostic tests, and creating care plans.
The unit features 22 semi-private rooms and handles procedures such as NG tube placement and catheter management.
Qualifications require a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
The role emphasizes compassionate, competent patient care, collaboration with the healthcare team, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining patient safety, documenting treatments, and ensuring compliance with privacy laws.
