This Registered Nurse position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a night shift role with a salary range of $72,072 – $74,229.26.
Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing procedures (e.g., chest tube insertion, wound vac changes, NG, catheter placement), and coordinating care toward discharge.
The unit features 22 semi-private rooms catering to patients post colorectal and urologic surgery.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education to enhance skills is encouraged.
The role requires adherence to privacy regulations and proper handling of sensitive patient information.
