Job Description
This RN role in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for post-surgical patients in a 22-room unit.
Perform procedures such as chest tube insertion, central lines, wound vac changes, NG, and catheter management.
Assess, plan, and coordinate patient care to promote recovery and discharge.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments and tests.
Evaluate diagnostic results, monitor patient responses, and apply sound nursing judgment.
Collaborate with the team to develop individualized care plans and guide ancillary staff.
Qualifications include NYS RN license, graduate from a nursing program, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education is encouraged.
Work shift is night, with a salary range of $72,072-$74,229.26. The role emphasizes patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.
