Job Description
This registered nurse position in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit involves caring for surgical abdominal, urologic, and general medical/surgical patients in a 22-bed med-surg unit. New graduates are welcome.
Assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care throughout their stay, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care according to regulations.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, and assess patient responses.
Collaborate with the team to develop individualized care plans and guide ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education is encouraged.
