Job Description
This nursing role is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, a 22-bed med-surg unit caring for surgical abdominal, urologic, and general medical patients. New graduates are welcome.
Assess, plan, implement, and manage patient care throughout hospitalization, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Follow physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, and document care per regulations.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluate patient responses and needs, applying sound nursing judgment.
Collaborate with the team to develop care plans and guide ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
This role requires maintaining confidentiality, adhering to privacy regulations, and providing compassionate, competent care.
