Job Description
This role is in the Colorectal Surgery & Urology unit, a 22-bed med-surg unit caring for surgical abdominal, urologic, and general medical/surgical patients. New graduates are welcome.
Assess, plan, implement, and manage patient care throughout their stay, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge readiness.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, start IVs, and document care according to policies and regulations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment in care decisions.
Collaborate with the team to create patient care plans and guide ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC. Continuing education is encouraged.
The role involves ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.
