Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in Elective Orthopedics provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests, and documents care per regulations.

  • Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment in care management.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.

  • Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and follow patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.

  • Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

  • Requires excellent communication, organization, and knowledge of quality improvement principles.
