Job Description
The Emergency Department RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within care.
Provides primary and emergency care, implements physician orders, administers medications, and performs treatments, procedures, and tests.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Ensures compassionate, competent care for patients across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings, including trauma, pediatrics, and specialized zones.
Works in a Level I Trauma Center with dedicated zones, waiting areas, radiology, and support services, serving patients of all ages 24/7.
The role may require access to sensitive information, adhering to privacy and security policies.
