The RN in the Emergency Department assesses, plans, and manages patient care, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge.

Provides primary and emergency care, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments.

Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.

Collaborates with the team to create and implement patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.

Works in a Level I Trauma Center with specialized zones and facilities, including radiology and decontamination suites.

Must adhere to policies regarding sensitive information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
