Job Description
The Emergency Department RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge readiness.
Provides primary and emergency care for all ages in a Level I Trauma Center with specialized zones and resources.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care per regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests and patient responses, applying sound nursing judgment.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 1-3 years ED experience, preferably in a trauma center.
Continuing education and quality improvement knowledge are essential.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy standards.
