Job Description
The Emergency Department RN assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge and transitions.
Provides primary and emergency care, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Works in a Level I Trauma Center with specialized zones, a dedicated radiology suite, and pediatric facilities.
Requires adherence to confidentiality standards, including HIPAA regulations, and may involve access to sensitive information.
The role supports compassionate, competent patient care in a fast-paced, diverse environment operating 24/7.
