Job Description
The surgical nurse assesses, plans, directs, and manages patient care throughout the surgical episode, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge planning.
Acts as the patient’s advocate during procedures and coordinates care with the team.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, and documents according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates patient needs and responses, applying sound nursing judgment.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), valid RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years of surgical experience preferred.
The role involves working in a state-of-the-art operating room with advanced technology, including robotic and hybrid surgical suites.
The position may require access to sensitive information, with strict confidentiality and security measures.
