Job Description
The Registered Professional Nurse in the Operating Room assesses, plans, and manages surgical patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within the care episode.
Acts as the patient advocate during procedures and ensures compassionate, competent care for patients, families, and staff across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years of surgical experience preferred.
The role involves working in a state-of-the-art surgical environment with advanced technology, including robotic and hybrid suites, for various specialties.
