Job Description
The Operating Room nurse assesses, plans, and manages surgical patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Acts as the patient’s advocate during procedures and coordinates care delivery by the caregiving team.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, and documents according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years surgical experience preferred.
Knowledge of quality improvement and problem-solving is essential.
The role involves working in a state-of-the-art surgical environment with advanced technology and specialized suites.
Must adhere to confidentiality and information protection policies.
