Job Description
The Operating Room RN assesses, plans, and manages surgical patient care, ensuring smooth transitions from admission to discharge.
Acts as the patient’s advocate during surgery and coordinates care with the team.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, and documents per regulations.
Evaluates patient needs and responses, applying sound nursing judgment.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Requires nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), valid RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years surgical experience preferred.
Knowledge of quality improvement and problem-solving is important.
The role involves working in a state-of-the-art surgical environment with advanced technology and specialized suites.
Ensures compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations.
