Job Description

The Float Pool RN provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care per regulations.

  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.

  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

  • Collaborates in creating and implementing patient care plans, directing ancillary staff, and maintaining professional standards.

  • Requires nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

  • Strong communication, organization, and quality improvement skills are essential.
