Job Description
The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care.
They assess and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency care.
Collaborating with the team, they develop and follow Plans of Care, direct ancillary staff, and maintain nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves safeguarding sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
