Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, recognizing the value of each team member’s contribution.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and quality improvement skills are required.
The role involves handling sensitive information with confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
