Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and monitoring patient conditions.
Assesses, evaluates, and responds to patient needs using sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role involves handling sensitive health information, with strict adherence to privacy and confidentiality regulations.
