Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs and responses, and applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff to maintain nursing standards.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential. The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
