Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides patient assessment, care coordination, and management throughout the care episode, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Responsible for delivering and coordinating competent, compassionate care across inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Works on diverse units including step-down, cardiac, neurosciences, chemotherapy, rehab, and emergency response.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and relevant experience.
Must adhere to confidentiality, privacy regulations, and quality improvement principles.
