Job Description
The Float Pool Night Nurse provides compassionate, patient-centered care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments and tests, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
Administers medications as ordered and collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required. The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
