Job Description

The Night Float Pool Nurse provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care according to regulations.

  • Assesses and evaluates patient conditions through diagnostic tests and responds appropriately.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.

  • Collaborates with the care team to develop and follow patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.

    • The role requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), a current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS. Candidates should have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The position involves handling sensitive information securely and adhering to confidentiality policies.
