Job Description

This RN role in the Operating Room involves implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care to ensure patient safety and comfort.

  • Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment.

  • Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop a Plan of Care.

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.

  • Supervise ancillary staff and uphold professional nursing standards.

  • Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement concepts.
