Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Operating Room contributes to a compassionate environment by providing patient-centered care and collaborating with the healthcare team.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Develops and follows a Plan of Care with the team, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. The role involves handling sensitive information following privacy regulations.
