Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Operating Room assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within the acute care setting.
Responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests; assesses patient needs and responses to care; applies sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses; collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care; guides ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
Must adhere to confidentiality policies, including safeguarding sensitive patient information in compliance with regulations.
