Job Description
Manage patients primarily with renal transplant, SPK, PAK, ESRD requiring dialysis, and peritoneal or telemetry care. Focus on pre and postoperative education for transplant patients to ensure health maintenance of both patient and grafts.
Provide care to general medicine and surgical patients with acute and chronic conditions, including transplant complications, nephrectomy, and dialysis access.
Administer treatments such as IV therapy, antibiotics, blood products, sterile dressings, tube feeds, surgical drains, and immunosuppressants.
Work in a unit with diverse acuity levels, requiring extensive patient education and comprehensive clinical skills.
Handle sensitive information, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and safeguarding protected health information based on a âneed to knowâ basis.
