Job Description
The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, responds to care requirements, and applies sound nursing judgment in care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to create and follow a patient care plan.
Supervises ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and documents treatment accurately.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
