Job Description
The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting procedures.
Evaluates diagnostic tests and assesses patient needs and responses.
Uses sound nursing judgment for care management, offering primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, and guides ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include graduation from a recognized nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
The role involves handling sensitive information with confidentiality and adhering to relevant regulations.
