Job Description
The Float Pool Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient-centered care, implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and tests.
They assess and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and make sound nursing judgments.
They deliver primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to create care plans.
They supervise ancillary staff and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role emphasizes maintaining patient safety, quality care, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
