Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care, actively listening and creating a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
This role may involve access to sensitive information, with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.
