Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate, patient-centered care during night shifts, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests, documenting all procedures as per regulations.

  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.

  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.

  • Administers medications and collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans.

  • Supervises ancillary staff and upholds professional nursing standards.

    • Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care. Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential.
